ELOC'ANCES at your service...

Current French legislation relating to mobile homes (or mobile residences) classifies them as a moveable property asset not subject to property tax regulations.

French law forbids parking a mobile home anywhere other than on a plot specifically for this purpose with a dedicated infrastructure (campsite, residential leisure park). This means that normally it is not possible to place a mobile home on private land, whether or not it is designated for building, unless of course there has been approval in writing from the relevant authorities (town hall, town planning, etc.).

There are, however, exceptions to this rule in certain cases.

For example, while you are having a house built, your mobile home can be in place for the entire building period; we can offer specific packages for these particular circumstances.

Generally speaking, please contact us for any further information in connection with this very specific legislation.
