Should you rent or buy
a mobile home?

The mobile home, a development from the caravan, but made static, was first seen during the 1970s. There were considerable further developments during the later part of the 20th century.

The mobile home has now reached a mature stage chiefly thanks to the new generation models (two-section roof, 4 metres wide), and offers occupants all the comforts of a small (mobile) home along with a friendly environment (campsite, or residential leisure park, both providing accommodation for tourists).

Renting a mobile home

Developments in this type of accommodation make it possible to try out the idea on a number of different sites with "short" rentals (by the week).

Fixed-price packages are available, at a cost for 4 people of between about 300 € and 800 € / week depending on the season. These include the various services provided by the campsite (swimming pool, games, sporting and cultural activities, entertainment, etc.).

Buying a mobile home

Is there a package that tempts you on a particular site?

Why not consider buying a mobile home on a plot of land on the campsite, rented by the year. It can become your "second home", and you can enjoy all the benefits several times during the year.

You in turn can become a landlord, while you are not using the mobile home, you can rent it out, using the ELOC'ANCES "rental service" at the campsite where you have your mobile home.

Renting out for a few weeks each year can be enough to balance your income and expenditure.
